• 1. Introduction, Your first log in

    You will get a shell account in a practice computer which you can access from anywhere through the Internet. To access the shell apart from a username and a password, you need a terminal emulator. In the process you familiarize yourself with terms like terminal, remote log in, shell, prompt, etc.

    Please follow 1.1 Handout: Introduction, Your first log in and submit the evidence of successful completion to the 1.2 Assignment: Introduction, Your first log in. And under 1.3a Recording: Introduction you'll find the recording of the presentation and under 1.3b Slides: Introduction the corresponding slides.

    Finally take the 1.4 Test: Introduction, Your first log in.
