SPECIAL SINHALESE RADIO
PROGRAM

A special Sinhalese program will be broadcast from the Colombo Station tomorrow to celebrate the number of Sinhalese Radio Licensees reaching the total of 10000. The program includes messages, talks, musical items. poems and songs by prominent officials and members of the public and popular radio artistes.

The details of the program, which will last from 7.30-8.45 p.m. are as follows:

Introduction: Chairman, Sinhalese Program Committee: Message from the Minister for Communications and Works; Song by Sunil Shanti: Mesasge from the Director of Broadcasting and Postmaster General: Sinhalese translation of Mes- sage: Musical item by Lionel Edirisinghe: Message from Ven'ble Palane Vajiranana Nayake Thero; Verses by Miss Hilda Mendis; Message from Rt.Revd. Dr. Edmund Peiris, Bishop of Chilaw; Song by Devar Surya Sena;Message from Revd. Lakdasa de Mel.Assistant Bishop of Colombo. Song by Choir of the School Boys: Message from the Director of Education: Song by Ananda Samarakone: Remarks by Representative, Brains Trust (Dr. G. P.Malalasekera) Children's Corner-U. A.S.
