"A HARROVIAN NIGHT"

The Harrows Sports Club gave an interesting pot-pourri of dances, songs and orchestral music last Saturday night to a crowded audience, which in- cluded the Mayor of Colombo.

Miss Corrinne Packeer's pupils were seen in a pleasing Minuet (heightened by colourful costuming) which drew a resounding ovation from the house. Ronnie Bartholomeusz and his South Sea Island Serenaders wound up the show with a bang-Therese Pietersz leading the hula-hula dancers, in typical Hawaiian fashion.

Among the other items of note were Sunil Shanti's songs (repeatedly encored) and Pitman Abraham's Sinatra- like crooning. Grace Borroughs gave two dance items. Sheridan Dias' snake dance was impressive.

Altogether it was first-class entertainment, and the young Harrovians deserved the encomiums showered on them after the show.
